Specific IgE

ImmunoCAP Specific IgE measures the concentration of circulating allergen-specific IgE antibodies in human serum or plasma.

This helps to identify specific allergens (and allergen components) and predict the development of allergic disease to aid in the reliable diagnosis of patients with suspected allergy. With over 650 allergens and 90 components available, ImmunoCAP Specific IgE offers precise and comprehensive antibody testing.

Test results that translate into improved patient care

With ImmunoCAP Specific IgE, the relationship between antibody levels, sensitisation, and the presence of clinical allergy can be demonstrated. With this precise, truly quantitative test, IgE antibody formation can be detected
at an early stage, even before clinical symptoms have evolved. This enables physicians to select the best strategy for managing the disease and to avoid
the development of a severe, chronic condition.

ImmunoCAP Specific IgE provides precise and comprehensive test results for the evaluation of allergy patients

Outstanding performance

  • True quantitative results presented from 0.1 kUA/l to 100 kUA/l
  • High sensitivity and specificity
  • Low CV (10 %) translates into fewer replicates, avoiding unnecessary re-runs and assay delays
  • Tests can be performed irrespective of age, symptoms, antihistamine medication and disease activity and/or severity
